Scottish Marketers 🏴 was founded to bring together all those working in the marketing industry in Scotland: from online and offline advertising to PR and communications, from search and social media to websites and CRM, from branding and creative to copywriting and content creation, and more besides.
This is the group for all who exist to promote great businesses and support local economies by helping good companies grow better. We aim to inspire fellow marketers from all walks of life to be their best selves and participate fully - regardless of their location - in the industry we all know and love.

Our core brand promise is that membership to the community will be "forever free". That doesn't need to be in quote marks, we mean it: we'll never charge members for access to our platforms or events.
We believe this sets us apart from other marketing industry-focused organisations, who tend to be exclusive and only admit access to companies and individuals who can afford (often high) membership prices. To us, the power of marketing comes from diverse perspectives and experiences. Therefore, again: we'll never charge.
We don't rule out earning revenue, e.g. from sponsorship to support larger-scale events in the future and eventually to cover some of the fees our founders pay for out of pocket. But, we have day jobs, we're not looking to make money from this. We also therefore rely on the generous support of many organisations including our meetup venues, those who contribute tasty extras and of course, our members in spreading the word...
